Log Cabin Restoration in Enoree, SC Spartanburg County

This week we’re off to South Carolina for our next lob cabin restoration job. The log cabin in need of restoration is located in Spartanburg County, in the small town of Enoree SC.

Once on location, the crew didn’t waist any time prepping the cabin for restoration. As part of the process, the downspouts were removed, and all the exterior lighting were covered for protection. The crew also covered the flower beds and shrubs around the cabin.

A stripping agent was applied and then removed via pressure washer. The pressure set at 800 psi to prevent log damage.
After the stripping, and cleaning, a neutralizer was applied to the logs to stop the stripping agent from being active.

On day two the crew sanded all the logs to smooth the wood from the pressure washer, and to ensure the removal of all old stain products. After the sanding the crew inspected and applied new caulking where needed. And finally, two coats of TWP California Cedar was applied to the logs, deck, and rails.
