Log Cabin Restoration in Greensboro-NC-Guilford County

The Total Log Cabin Restoration Crew is out in Greensboro NC this week. The home owner is looking to have his log home cleaned and recoated with new stain.

The crew begin with their usual preparations of removing the downspouts, taping up all the electrical exterior lighting, and covering all the plant life that is close to the home. The home is then pressure washed with a bleach solution making sure to remove any mold and mildew.

After cleaning , a borax treatment is applied to the logs to prevent any wood eating insects from invading the logs. The caulking on all logs, windows, and doorways are inspected, and new caulking is applied where needed.
